An Adaptive, Distributed Airborne Tracking System

چکیده
This paper describes a United States Air Force Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) that applied value-based scheduling to produce an adaptive, distributed tracking component appropriate for consideration by the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) program. This tracker was designed to evaluate application-specific Quality of Service (QoS) metrics to quantify its ability to provide tracking services in a dynamic environment and to derive scheduling parameters directly from these QoS metrics to control short-term tracker behavior. The prototype tracker was implemented on the MK7.3 operating system, which provided value-based processor scheduling and a distributed thread programming abstraction. The resulting tracker “processes the right tracks at the right time” by appropriately managing those resources needed for track processing. The prototype automatically updates all of the tracked objects when system is not overloaded, and gracefully degrades when there are insufficient resources. The prototype has performed extremely well during demonstrations to AWACS operators and tracking system designers.

ADAPTIVE FUZZY TRACKING CONTROL FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN DISTRIBUTED TIME-VARYING DELAYS AND UNKNOWN CONTROL DIRECTIONS
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is proposed for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown discrete and distributed time-varying delays, and the proposed design method does not require a priori knowledge of the signs of the control gains.Based on the backstepping technique, the adaptive fuzzy controller is constructed. The main contributions of the paper...
متن کاملTracking performance of incremental LMS algorithm over adaptive distributed sensor networks
in this paper we focus on the tracking performance of incremental adaptive LMS algorithm in an adaptive network. For this reason we consider the unknown weight vector to be a time varying sequence. First we analyze the performance of network in tracking a time varying weight vector and then we explain the estimation of Rayleigh fading channel through a random walk model. Closed form relations a...
متن کاملMathematical Analysis of Optimal Tracking Interval Management for Power Efficient Target Tracking Wireless Sensor Networks
In this paper, we study the problem of power efficient tracking interval management for distributed target tracking wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We first analyze the performance of a distributed target tracking network with one moving object, using a quantitative mathematical analysis. We show that previously proposed algorithms are efficient only for constant average velocity objects howev...

متن کاملAn Adaptive-Robust Control Approach for Trajectory Tracking of two 5 DOF Cooperating Robot Manipulators Moving a Rigid Payload
In this paper, a dual system consisting of two 5 DOF (RRRRR) robot manipulators is considered as a cooperative robotic system used to manipulate a rigid payload on a desired trajectory between two desired initial and end positions/orientations. The forward and inverse kinematic problems are first solved for the dual arm system. Then, dynamics of the system and the relations between forces/momen...
